I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I just moved to Madison, WI from Cape Cod, MA. My "regular" job consists of touring as the FOH (front of house) sound engineer & road manager for the Irish band Gaelic Storm. When I'm not spending the better part of my year on the road, I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and sailing. I love a nice cold Dark & Stormy with a wedge of lime. I am a huge fan of surround sound and high-end audio. I get as much satisfaction listening to music stream wirelessly off my laptop as I do playing an old record on my $5 turntable.
Every day I am conscious of my affect on the environment, trying to come up with ways to reduce waste and conserve energy. I am an advocate of alternative energy like the Cape WInd project which would place 130 wind turbines in Nantucket Sound with the potential to produce up to 420 megawatts! I reuse everything I possible can. When I used to work in construciton I would gather scrap building supplies and useful demolition materials destined for the dumpster and reuse them in renovating my own living space. I recycle everything. I still drive my beloved old '91 Civic (my first car) becuase it still averages over 34 mpg.

My Interests

music listening, expensive audio equipment, mountain biking, sailing, hiking, skiing, running, carpentry

Day of traveling in review

Things I've learned today:1. You can't rely on a cab to be on-time even at 6 AM on a clear morning, even when scheduled 6 hours in advance. The guy was 25 minutes late! If I didn't breeze through airp...
