Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Hilton Valentine (guitarist with The Animals).
Born May 21, 1943 in England
1956Gets first guitar (acoustic) and forms Skiffle band at the age of 13 called The Heppers. Hilton sings and plays guitar
Circa 1959 band evolves into a rock and roll band called The Wildcats and though Hilton is still playing lead guitar, it's now electric and he's handed over the vocals to someone else.
1963 - Hilton quits The Wildcats to join The Alan Price Combo which soon changed their name to The Animals
1964 - Hilton and the rest of The Animals have a worldwide number one hit with "House of the Rising Sun"
1966 (late) - The Animals break up.
1967 - 2003 - Various reunions with all the original Animals and some with just other members. Also involved with other bands including one with Mike Harrison of Spooky Tooth called Brown Jack
2003 - Takes the reins and comes full circle recording a CD of his own acoustic material along with a couple of skiffle tunes that he used to sing with The Heppers.
2004 - CD titled It's Folk 'n' Skiffle, Mate! is released and he's been singing and playing ever since.
His backing players are:

Washboard player - Washboard, shakers, tambourine, guitar
And usually joined by little Jillian on fiddle
