I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I live to make music... whether that means writing, recording, playing horn, singing, dancing to it, or banging on car steering wheel while driving...whatever. You can check out my 3 main musical ventures on Myspace: Hepcat (my main gig), Soul Traffic (funky soul-pop concoction) & VibraSol (groovy latin/reggae outfit in LA). For a little more info on who I am and a taste of the music I've written and recorded, please visit my myspace music page .I just moved back to Cali from the Chicago area where I played with some of the outstanding local groups. Check them out: The Drastics (dub reggae machine), Todd Hembrook & the Hemipheres (soul & motownsongs done like mama used to make), and Deals Gone Bad (Chicago's pillars of ska music). Now that I'm back in the Golden State, I'm finding new friends (and reconnecting with old ones) and playing as much as possible. The great local Northern Cal ska powerhouse, Monkey , has graciously invited me to sit in with them for the time being (upcoming shows in S.F.) and I continue to look for new writing and playing partners!I also like to read, BBQ, play soccer, go dancing and catch a good movie here and there. ..

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Hendrix, Lennon, Ellington, Mayfield, Marley, Marvin Gaye and Ray Charles...and, if I still had some time left, maybe Ben Franklin or Abraham Lincoln...maybe...Oh you mean living people...I like to meet new people of all types, but the musically inclined have a special place in address book. I'm always looking for new people to play/write/record with.

A nomad's lament

As most of you know...when I set out on my adventure in January of this year, I had no idea what to expect really. I've spent a good deal more of my adult life on the road than the...

A good song

Written down, it doesn't seem a very good song, but coming through pale fawn fluff at about half-past eleven on a very sunny morning, it seemed to Pooh to be one of the best songs he had ever sung. S...
