About Me

I've been playing harmonica since 1991, and mixing sound since 1997. Basically music is my life (at least as a career goes.) I've played with many bands, representing a wide variety of styles from Blues to Electronic to Rock'n'Roll, and been a sound engineer in studios and venues and on the road. My playing has been featured on many recordings (mostly by Chicago bands) such as Christian Collin and Molasses, Alice Peacock, Pete Special, John Kamys, Voodoo Kings, Daniel Grove Band, Musical Outfits, Dynamic Vibrations, as well as on some commercials for radio and TV.Over the last 2 and a half years I've been touring with San Francisco Beatbox champion, live looper, and singer "Kid Beyond," as his FOH mixer and sound tech. In the Fall of 2006 we were honored to join Imogen Heap on her North American tour, as the opening act, as well as part of her show. I mixed monitors for her and FOH for Kid Beyond. As of the last 2 years I've been mixing at The Independent and The Red Devil Lounge in San Francisco, as well as a host of other Bay Area venues and festivals. I also mix and play with East Bay rhythm and grit, garage soul powerhouse, The Struts.Other bands that I have mixed and toured with recently include Scissors for Lefty, Les Nubians, and Tartufi, to name a few. Most recently I have also been mixing Pop Rocks. Please let me know if you like what you hear, and need either a harp player or sound engineer/producer for your project. Peace, Harp Da Knobs

Perhaps most importantly my Grandmother Hilde Pollack who's piano playing inspired me as a child, and my Great Uncle Henry Altman who's singing of prayers as Cantor for his congregation for 55 years brought joy and spirit to so many. I just give thanks for all music as it is a universal language of humanity.
