BIO
The BGP -- Seattle's fastest rising Pop/Soul act -- just finished a full West Coast Tour that concluded with a showcase for Microsoft Zune, and opening spot for Seattle up-and-comers Barcelona, and legendary rock trio MXPX. Pairing elements of sophistication and blue-collar charm, the band lists an eclectic array of influences, from Robin Thicke to Hall & Oates.
Though adjectives are not in lack, for anyone attempting to create a designation for the band's sound (fashionable, accessible, soulful, and smart), the The BGP's true calling card is an indescribable live show that features 3-part harmonies, vintage instruments, and a fan-base that shouts and dances nearly as much as the band members on stage. An active part of the Seattle music scene since its formation in 2004, the band has played sellout shows at legendary Seattle venues including The Tractor Tavern, Chop Suey, Triple Door Mainstage, and EMP SkyChurch among others.
According to BGP frontman B. Ghorley the band plans to independently release a new full length record near the end of 2009, with a corresponding West Coast Tour (to include Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, and Idaho).
