Greg Englar is a jazz guitar player currently attending NYU as a Jazz Performance Major. He began playing guitar at age 9 inspired by The Beatles. In high school he developed a love for jazz music and began to perform regularly with the James Bazen Big Band alongside his father, a jazz saxophonist and Occupational Therapist. During his junior year of high school Greg began studying privately with local guitar legend Paul Wingo. Greg has performed with the Capital Focus Jazz Band, The NYU Jazz Repertoire Big Band, The New York Youth Symphony Jazz Band Classic, and The New York-Italia Connection. He has studied with Paul Wingo, Randy Johnston, Peter Bernstein, Bruce Arnold, and John Scofield.Solar
