About Me

Starting bass as a Jr. High student I had a strive for a productivity and new expression. I have been playing bass now for nine years and my productivty and expression has evolved ever so carfully.Experiences: I have had the opportunities to study with Victor Wooten, and Joel Di Bartolo. Featured on a Jah Rule track used by Playboy. Teaching young students in hope of bringing more true artists to the music of today. As a bassist, i like to fufill the power of rythm, sound, feel, and love in any vibrations i make.To all Musicians: every vibration you make is eternal. once said you can never take it back and must accept and understand that the sounds you make are forever evolving.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Brian Zach, Clay Baker, Brendan Madsen, Jay, Joe Alcorn. playing in reggae group Synrgy. look out for us. look out for the demo this month. check the band at synrgyband.com or myspace.com/synrgymuzak
Influences: Major Musicians:Victor Wooten, Jaco Pastorious, Larry Graham, Stanley Clarke, Miles Davis, Groundation, Family Man, Carlton Barret, Thelonious Monk, Led Zeppelin (every member especially Jimmy Page and John Bonham), Radio Head, Mike Stern, Alice In Chains, Mad Season, Jimmy Hendrix, Bob Marley, John Coltrane, Tim Alexander, Primus (see them live to know...), Mike Portnoy.People:Every artist or peice of work that i have met, sceen, heard, or worked with. I let everything i witness influence me. good or bad, life is the most real when you take it all in.Andrew Schreiber, Justin Lassen, Tom Lassen, Jack Lassen, Julieann Lassen, Jamie Kilstein, Ezekiel Lanser, Devin Reek, David Reid, Aron Johnson, Eric Johnson, Della, and my sister Julie Kranzberg.Parents: Alan and Karen Kranzberg. all i can say is they did what many parents can not. They let me buy my first bass with my own money, and let me study and play with anyone i chose. For an artist, limitations from those you love are the most destructive. Thank you mom and dad for letting me find my own path.
Sounds Like: This is not what i think i sound like. I know i am myself and sound like myself.I've been told after being heard."Dude you sound like Victor Wooten" "You groovin for a white guy!" "So much energy" "It was so beutiful that i didn't beleive it was a bass" "You need to calm down and just play the bass like a bassist" "Scott turn that shit down were trying to sleep"I try to remember that even though there are a million wonderful artists out there and there has been for hundreds of years that i will never get anywhere by sounding like these cats. I need only to sound myself.Drummers have the hardest time. I don't care what beat you play because its been played before. Just remember that all you need to do is play whats inside you and it will be original for the 1000th time.
