Love Trucker

Oftentimes people think of icons or artists or politicians or revolutions that define a generation. Since the beginning of Americana, American parents have been telling their children about these icons or musicians that changed their lives as young people. I feel privileged that I have become such close friends with musicians that I am confident will bring definition of the generation to come. Love Trucker has enough charisma, talent and passion to fill a generation gap the same way the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin or the Beatles ever did. I write this smiling to myself, because I know that I will see these words again, not soon, but maybe in 20 years when the old school rock and roll that Love Trucker produces so passionately has come to fruition. I look around at America as it is right now, and I see the stars line up in Love Trucker's favor. For the first time since the 1940s America is going to produce a generation that is less privileged and less wealthy than its parents. The days of disposable, cookie cutter glam bands are over and America is going to thirst for blue collar blues, for a substantial sound and an even more substantial message. It doesn't take that much foresight at all to see that Love Trucker will be that sound. I have seen these young men grow into their band and I have see them play for an extremely wide variety of people. It's amazing how their sound transcends society and culture and forces people to look away from the niche that they have constructed for themselves and I think I have figured this phenomenon out. This shit is primal. Anyone who won't dance or stomp their feet to Love Trucker's tunes is forcing themselves not to for one reason or another (more often than not it's because of the aforementioned niche that they put themselves in). I can guarantee you that Love Trucker offers something to everyone young or old, pop or punk. Love Trucker will be the phenomenon. Love Trucker will be the bridge and I urge you to invest your ears and invest your hearts. I've known Matthew Paige and Gabe Averre since I was 14 years old and Chris Merrill since I was 17. I wish that I had enough words to attest to their talent, passion and character. I would entrust my life to any of these guys and am confident I will listen to them jam and create and grow for the rest of my life. These gentlemen are hardworking, trustworthy and honest and if they didn't have an lick of talent between the three of them, those three reasons are enough to make them successful. But Love Trucker's got it all. Love Trucker's beer music, Love Trucker's dancing music, Love Trucker's lovin' music and Love Trucker's American music. I'm sure whoever is reading this will be like me and be unable to get enough of them. I love these guys to death and I can't wait to tell my kids about them and how they changed my life.
