I started teaching myself to breakdance while at Uni and in 2001 I co-founded Random Aspekts, Scotland's most successful and established breakdance crew. I continue to compete, tour and teach breakdance at the highest level and hope my body will let me do it for as long as possible. In 2003 I was invited to join FRESHMESS dance company. I was a core member of this group for 4 years and this is where I was introduced to the world of contemporary dance. Since then I have been lucky enough to work with some of the best dancers and dance makers, domestically and internationally. In 2004 I co-founded CYPHER Dance Company with close friend Tony Mills and we continue to make work together. In 2007 I was asked to join David Hughes Dance Company and I am currently the Associate Artist and administrator for this organisation. In April we will begin a 2 year period of flexible core funding so let's see what exciting adventures the future holds....
In October 2008 I also became the administrator for X Factor Dance Company and I also continue to work in a freelance capacity, choreographing, teaching and providing movement direction for theatre based projects.
Other than dancing I enjoying playing and making music, being with my close friends and getting involved in anything physical. At the moment...I can't complain, life is grand! :
