About Me

Stephanie Hope is a young Lyric Coloratura Soprano who received her bachelor's of Music in Opera at Wichita State University with the esteemed Dr. Baxter. She now plans to take a turn for a more mainstream genre, including jazz, pop, folk and a fusion of such. Opera experience includes "The Gondoliers", "Die Zauberflote", "L'elisir d'amore", "The Secret Garden", "Amahl and the Night Visitors", "Merry Widow", "Strawberry Fields", "The Age of Bel Canto", "La Calisto" at Wichita State University, in which Miss Hope performed the role of Il Satirino, a unique role to her list of experiences, and "Le Nozze di Figaro." Miss Hope has performed and studied in Florence, Italy during the summer of 2005. Also, Stephanie hopes to put together a couple of projects this year, including a jazz standards CD, and a Christmas album!
For more information, please send her a message and Stephanie Hope would love to answer any questions.
Dr. Baxter has been teaching for over 20 years. She is known all over the mid-west and nationally for her performing. Previous students include the current mezzo-soprano favorite, Joyce DiDonato.
