I have been drumming since I began to walk... actually, my mom swears that I started drumming in the womb, but I don't have any recollection of that. I grew up in Santa Cruz California, learning, playing and having a great time in general. Music has taken me places that I never could have imagined. I have had the amazing opportunities to see most of the western United States, tour through England with a stop in Wales, and I even got the chance to live in Hamburg, Germany for three months while recording.
I have met and played with some Amazing people, and I look forward to many more experiences in the future that remind me of why I am so lucky to be here.
I am excited to say, I have pulled up my roots and moved out of Santa Cruz, at least for a while. The opportunity to go back to school and a few other important factors brought me here to Niles, located in the eastern-most part of Fremont. Niles is a great place to be, full of history, colorful people, and enough trees, parks, and nature to fool you into feeling a bit detached from the nearby suburbs and cities.
Because of our small home and close neighbors, I don't think I will be setting up my drums here. This brings me to my next source of excitement...
I'm taking up the Pedal Steel Guitar!
I just bought a used Carter 10 string Model with 3 pedals and 4 knee levers.
Should show up in the next couple weeks, but don't expect to hear it anytime soon.
The beauty of this instrument is that I can strap on a pair of headphones and sneak away to practice. Tray that with the ol' drumset!
