"The Extranjero" is a Valencia based Rock group that play a style of music we call "Kick Assed Chilled Out Rock" a blend of music along the lines of U2, Whitesnake, Pink Floyd and a bit of Ibiza chill out thrown in for good measure. We accomplish this with a mix of well known cover versions and high quality very well produced original material.
The band consists of:
1. Vince Barnes - Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar
2. Tim Lewis – Drums
3. Roman Manganeli– Lead Guitar and backing vocals
4. Julio Fuster – Bass and backing vocals
With a single already released (search "Dance with me" The Extranjero and you will find it on iTunes Amazon.com and many other download sites) and the album due for release 1st May 2009, we are in the process of organising a Small tour of Spain, UK and Germany with a primary purpose of promoting this Album and the title track "Don't Say Goodbye" - a haunting ballad with rich lyrics, mellow sax, orchestral strings and a floaty feel which will leave you wanting more
The target Audience is music lovers who appreciate strong lyrical songs with great melodies. The music has a global appeal and the band of course wish to perform it to everyone.
The musical goals for the short and medium term are as follows
1. To finish the Album and have it ready for download and CD format by 1st May
2. To produce our Video of the Song "Don't Say Goodbye" for release with the Album and song
3. Tour within Spain playing larger venues and festivals to promote the album,
4. To Perform a European Tour of UK, Spain and Germany towards the end of Summer early Autumn of approx 30 dates in total.
Longer term our goal is to be a successful Rock band with a dedicated following that we can interact with both through the music (touring and further Albums) and with our online website/forums and blogs.
We are a professional outfit that are serious about our music and about the image we present to the outside world. We have an easily identifiable image and the music is well produced and catchy
We create a buzz wherever we go, not only due to the music we play its also our on stage antics. I am often to be seen dancing with guitar in the middle of the crowd mid song, Tim, when let loose has a few crazy moments and Julio the bassist, is a crazy also.
Our primary aim when we play – whether it is to 10,000 people or 10 people, is to ensure they all leave the place with smiles on their faces having witnessed a bit of magic. Our tag line is
"Come along and take away a bit of magic" and it is the philosophy we play by.
