Band Members: Ive been in drum and bass from the begining of time before it was drum and bass , from 88-89 at the time when you had sunrise & genesis, and many others when the sound was acid house, house and hip house. then it moved into hard-core, you had other promotions emerging like AWOL and Raindance. For all those who attended those dances would know that those were the real times of peace and love. a bit like the 60's but like modern day hippies, black & white unite! but dont get me wrong we didnt have none of that flower power shit, keep it real ! apart from your average white glove tossers.. no offence white gloves haha. moving on from that in came a number of emerging record labels Reinforced, Moving Shadow, Formation and Metalheadz which I believe is Doc Scott record label with Goldie - wow D.Scott he was amazing producer and dj one of my favourites! they were big, still are! .I was fortunate to be part of one of the first dance outlets of this new music that was emerging, that we the masses from the street were building. this was called passion records and then we later changed it to razor records, long before black market, no disrespect nicky blackmarket my friend. we were situated on oxford street in a clothes shop downstairs. monday to friday was good for business but saturday was like a rave because for all those who remember and everybody who knew, they came down to mainly buy records & rave tickets the clothes for raving, accessories alot of the boys from main stream from Kennyken, Grooverider, Fabio, Bryan gee , Roni size, Jumpin Jack frost,dj Krust, dj SS, dj Hype, Goldie,MickY finn, Ruffstuff, MC five-o ,MC moose, dj Ron, and too many more to mention all came down to our record outlet from day 1. as you know they are all big on the main stream now, seeing where they come from i got alot of respect for them. then came jungle oh my gosh! 94-95-96 oh shit! those were the days, if i go into that well be here all day! my main stream era was 94-98 and then the music went all a bit funny or put it another way fucked up! those who experienced it you know what im talking about and i feel sorry for ya ya bastards! now we is at 2007 for me personally that jungle vibe is coming back and here the fuck I am! for all those who remember me, can remember i used to play it the way you liked to hear it down at labyrinth on fridays, DLB, Ah London Someting down at west end each and every wednesday down at Samantha's and Eruption radio (i cant remember the frequency haha) but at that time it was us and KOOL FM so for those of you that know, pay youre respect cos KOOL FM has been around for time. . You can catch me on KOOL FM 94.6 on tuesdays 3-5 or Sat 9-11 breakfast show early morning glory playin all the best drum and bass from constructive jump up, breakage breakbeat with nice deep heavy basslines and anything else thats bangin!. My next challenge is to make some tunes & get some vinyle the on the road also look out for Ah London Sumting the very first in da week Jungle Drum n Bass night club down at Samathas off Regent st W1 that set the way for many others to follow . Massive shout going out to all the Ladies. and big shout going out to all the Dj's, MC, Producers, Ravers, & Promoters all the kru's representin !! Blessssssss , Peace.
