Gobbstopper is the bastard child of Ollie Stamp & James Gliddon aka Stamper & Jim'll Mix It . Brought together in 2003 as residents at Taunton's legenedary Cafe Mamba as residents for Check Your Breakz, the pair have been working together for some time. They've travelled their way around the local club scene and decided that something was distinctly lacking, so in 2006 they put their heads together and came up with Gobbstopper........
Launched at the newly refurbished Cafe Mamba in Dec 2006 Gobbstopper has been pushing the boundaries of cutting edge music and vibe ever since.
After a very successful 12 months at Mamba we decided to take things up a gear and pus h the brand further. Now based at Que Pasa, Taunton, Gobbstopper aims to bring you the best parties and atmosphere with the feshest local talent supporting seasoned live artists and DJ's. Musically it's wobbling basslines, jackin' beats and filthy slice of tech. Previous guests have included Janette Slack, Darft Phunk, Journeyman Vs Barrcode, Ben & Lex, Hoffman & Model101, Slyde, Jam The Channel and many more. As ever we try to make the nights memorable and include full decor, giveaways and live visuals, alongside the stonking Totem soundsystem...it's always a good night! We have a wicked local crew and everyone is welcomed with open arms; all you need is an appetite to party........so come on down,and get with the Gobbstopper............
