I'm a 31 year old self-taught musician and "performance artist" (apparently) based in Middlesbrough, England. This page exists as an ongoing basic info source for alot of the stuff I've done or been involved with past and present.
After bashing on whatever for a few years, I finally got my first drum kit in 1989 at age 11 and music is about all I've done since. I've been in many bands playing different styles of (usually more noisier) music and different instruments, but I will always be a drummer primarily.
I've recorded with most of the bands I've been in (including recording a John Peel session at the BBC's Maida Vale Studios, London in 1995 aged 16) and continue to do sporadic home-recording on cassette 4 track with a minimal amount of equipment. I'm quite happy just to release one or two recordings every few years or so and there's some new stuff out now with more forthcoming.
Playing live has always been my thing and although I don't do as many gigs as I'd like to and didn't for a while whilst pursuing other 'interests', there's been enough happening and in the works again now. Please get in touch with any gig offers - will play anywhere. I have previously played and toured throughout the UK, mainland Europe and North America (playing the legendary CBGB in NYC twice) several times.
The current/on-going bands I'm in now are THE PRESTIDIGITATORS, SNOTNOSED (currently hiatused as a live act) and PELLETHEAD, plus I occasionally make pretentious minimal music solo as myself. I've also been doing stuff with SMELL & QUIM for the last couple of years and have been drumming for THE HANGMEN and a new band called DRUNK IN HELL (see 'top friends') since the beginning of last year.
Upcoming : more of the same, some collaborations, as many gigs as possible, etc.
