I wanna be inappropriate with my hardware and mess with Texas.

About Me

I am .5 of the Loop Assassins. The other .5 is my partner, Dwreck. You can check us out by visiting www.myspace.com/dwreckandboompsie. On the music note - I'm not an asskisser and never will be - if you like what I do, good, if you don't then that's fine - don't listen. I refuse to compromise my sound for anyone - even if it means that my only audience is whoever happens to be in my living room. At least I'll be happy playing what makes ME content rather than playing fluffy, hands in the air bullshite to appease the masses. My husband also produces along with his friend, Larry (Computer Controlled/Dj Frantic) as "Acid Hazard." You can check out their profiles: myspace.com/pacodebongo and myspace.com/c0mputerc0ntrolled. Their website is midwestacid.com. They have upcoming shows in Wisconsin and Chicago.

My Interests

Records, Electronic Music, DJ and Electronic Music Production Equipment (vintage analog synths & drum machines preferred), my Native American heritage/culture. I love the sound of raw drum machines, especially TR-606 snare drumrolls, distorted basslines, and Casio RZ-1 sounds. I also loveeeeee TB-303 Acid, which is painfully obvious as you read on, and Hoover synth sounds (which you can hear from my Alpha Juno-2/PG-300 - think "Dominator" or "Mentasm" ;) ). *Pics from my studio* *I love my dj mixer =)* ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------The Latest additions to the studio collection:

I'd like to meet:

((((Dan Zamani & Tim Taylor pic taken from DJ Nikadeemas off discogs.com))))Roland TB-303 with the Borg Upgrade/Modification (our 303 has the Devilfish mod, but now we need this one!)------------------------------------------------------- -------------------ELECTRONIC MUSIC enthusiasts, (please take the time to read my profile before spamming me with Rock Band stuff - unless you're really pushing the envelope with that style of music, chances are I'm not gonna be about it. Please try not to take offense as I'm not trying to be rude or snobby, but I personally just feel that most of the Rock stuff that's been coming out for years all sounds the like same thing over and over with every singer having the same exact sounding voice that you can't understand. Yes, I actually dared to make such a statement. Just as I don't want to listen to eardrum shattering, nauseatingly horrid, screeching guitars and incoherent, obnoxious screaming nonsense into a microphone, you don't want to listen to me play the same pattern on my drum machines along with an extremely high pitched, chirping, screeching 4-note melody and a hideous voice sample saying something like "BUTTPLUGS" repeating/looping every 16 steps for 4 hours straight (out of my window at 7am on a Sunday at a volume level that would require a permit). Ok then... so onto more fokes I'd like to meet - Video Game FreQs, Horror/Sci-Fi film fanatics, others of Native American Descent ((especially those who may be able to help me with tracing my heritage/tribal affiliation, or just learning more about the culture in general)).I don't know anybody and I can't get you anywhere. If you want to talk to me then you're gonna hafta accept that (aside from working on music) I pretty much sit around most of the day doing boring, stupid shit just like you.

Music:

The various sounds you'll usually hear coming from my decks (been doin' the Dj thing for over 10 years now) are Techno (Bangin', MHS, funky, broken-beat, drumtrax, Latin-influenced, Chicago, jackin' minimal, quirky, clicky minimal, stuff that sounds like silverware in a cave, and other various forms of weird shit) and Acid (anywhere from Freddie Fresh and Woody McBride to Hardfloor and Prototype 909 - I prefer the Midwest Acid sound the most) - well, picking up on that new Acid too that's thankfully making a comeback (and lately more of what i'm getting back into - mixing the old with the new), and my own, my own & my partner's, my partner's, the husband's, and my friends' productions that I drop into Final Scratch, but sometimes depending on the event or mood I will throw down other styles such as Electro (hard german and ghetto-tek/Miami Bass substyles),Tribal House (that West Coast/San Fran/Peace Division sound), some Breaks, oldskool UK Hardcore/Breakbeat (1991-92 - like Acen, 4 Hero, Sonz of a Loop Da Loop Era, Bomb the Bass, Altern8, 2 Bad Mice, House Crew, Phuture Assassins, etc...), or even a set of some dark, techy, evil DnB. Now on to labels/artists - for Techno I will pick up releases by Hardcell, Regis, Surgeon, Oliver Ho, Ben Sims, Hertz, Johan Bacto, Patrik Skoog and friends, Asem Shama, Christian Wunsch, Ignition Technition, Pounding Grooves, Secret Cinema, Richie Hawtin, Thomas Schumacher, Thomas Heckmann, Damon Wild, Freddie Fresh, Frankie Bones, Spiral Tribe, Cari Lekebusch, Dan Bell, Kikoman, Laurent Ho, Green Velvet, Cave, Boriqua Tribes, Archetype, Slobodan, Suburban Night, Rush, Speedy J, Dj Skull, Hyperactive, Joey Beltram, Adam X, Shuffelmaster, Stanny Franssen, Dj Preach, Tom Hades, Leandro Gamez, Andrei Morant, The Advent, Neil Landstrumm, Umek, Jay Denham, Jamie Bissmire, Marco Bailey, Oscar Mulero, Ade Fenton, Sender Berlin, Fannon Flowers, Dj Argonic (Danny Casseau), Glen Wilson, Jeff Mills, WJ Henze, Fumiya Tanaka, Chris Liebing, Tim Xavier, Paul Birken, Lars Klein... for Tribal House I'll pick up labels such as Big Chief, Maya, Taka, Combustible, Casa Del Soul, Royal Drums, NRK, Sondos, Honchos Music, Tango, End Recordings, Low Pressings... For Acid labels, I like Planet of the Drums, X-trax, Missile, Communique/Sounds, Drop Bass, Plus 8, Probe, Force Inc., Plastic City, Harthouse, Analog, Definitive, Psychoactive, Important, Synewave, Delerium, Bassex, Contact, Labworks, Prolekult, Freeze-X, DJAX, Le Petit Prince, Diki, Peacefrog, etc... I could spend all day listing producers/tracks...I also love dark DnB and Ragga Jungle. I don't spin it but I absolutely love to listen to it. The Regulators have always respresented the Ragga style proper - although they are no more, Twinhooker is still throwing down hardcore and putting out his own material on vinyl - good stuff!!
