Band Bio:
The idea of Wicked Jane started with two friends, Rose Wallace and Kala Conway, back in 2004. When the two started practicing at lunchtime in high school, their friend suggested they should form a band. Well, the idea stuck. After asking some friends and going through some line-up changes, in mid 2005 they found a person by the name of Shane Deperio. The band switched instruments around trying to find a cohesive line-up.
In December of 2005, the warehouse where the band practiced caught fire destroying nearly everything with the exception of a some personal items and machinery belonging to Rose’s family, but most miraculously thing that occurred was that none of the instruments were destroyed. Was this a sign? Quite possibly. The band took a break, but when they got back together in the spring of 2006 conflicts between Rose, Shane and some outside parties cause them to take another break.
In October that year, while working at Knott’s Berry Farm, Rose and Shane met Casey McDonald. Later they found out Casey had loved music and had been in multiple bands before. An idea sparked between Rose and Shane, maybe they can start Wicked Jane again and maybe, just maybe, it would work out. Casey was eager to start practicing and upon the first couple practices the band came up with the concepts and rough demos of three songs.
After the band recorded a four song demo at their friend Tim’s(Out of Focus) house, things hit a rough patch. The band parted ways with Shane. A couple of months later, conflicts between the line up caused the band to part ways with Casey and Stephanie(filled in for bass after Shane).
As for right now, the band is working on a new demo entitled: "The Way We Decay." You can hear some of the songs that are already recorded in the regular player and in the flash player(in this section)above this.
Even though there may be some rough spots here and there, Wicked Jane has pulled through and showed a willingness to overcome and succeed in anything they do.
