Adam was born and raised in the small Ohio River town of Henderson, Kentucky. After finishing high school, he moved three hours down the road to Lexington and earned a degree in Education. Upon graduating, he began teaching in the Cincinnati area.
In Cincinnati, Adam joined the pop-rock band Eightfeet and enjoyed a three-year stint as bassist. During that time the band recorded their album “Waiting ‘Til Thursday.†It was warmly received by the local music scene and praised for what Rick Bird of the Cincinnati Post described as “its own unique, trashy groove.†Unfortunately, life led the members of Eightfeet down different paths before commercial success could find them.
Adam has since made the leap from playing the backline to playing in the spotlight as a solo artist. He has gotten in touch with his Kentucky roots, moving away from the garage-rock sound and into folk blues and bluegrass-tinged Americana. He is currently working on a seven-song debut EP that deftly combines the sincere acoustic soul of backroads living with fat 1970’s electric instrumentation. It is due for release this autumn.
