About Me

Why am I still beach dave.. I live in the desert?
you can take the boy outta the beach, but you can't take the beach outta the boy.
I was born, adopted and raised in a whales vagina, where my heart will always long to be. Vegas is home right now and as much as it shocks me to admit, I'm diggin it. Lately, I find myself promoting the belief that things happen for a reason and "things" have led me here, and so I'm makin the best of it... Super chill, easy going and relaxed are descriptions generally associated with my day to day demeanor. I think it's true for the most part, until that moment I begin spewing searing flames of wrath from the back of my eyeballs... which usually only happens when I'm hungry... which leads me right into...
I love to cook ALL kinds of food, always experimenting with exotic flavors. The highlight of my day is usually when I’m standing in front of, and looking into the fridge, thinking to myself... what can I make with baby bok choy, coconut milk, spam(lite), gatorade, pickles and the Queen’s Cheddar cheese? sure enough... it usually turns out better than the last thing I made :o) I love to cook and I hate to clean... but I still freakin do it, cuz I aint no slob. Sometimes I think I clean too much, but it's not a problem until I have guests over (and I haven't had anything to drink yet) and I'm tripping out in my head thinking how perfectly clean everything was... no one even noticed how clean it is, and now they’re making it all dirty again… I’m beginning to scare you, aren’t I? That's a rhetorical question... no comments or messages in response to that, please.
But who isn't a bit strange in their own little way, right? Isn’t that what makes us great, our individuality? Actually that’s something I appreciate very much. People who march to the beat of their own drum, or bongo, or tambourine, or whatever. Though I’m guilty of having sheep like tendencies, I’m trying to be more like… a tiger… *rawr* LoL. A dorky tiger at best… well I build computers and shit like that, so I’m allowed to be dorky *RAWR* I really like to create and fabricate. Whether I’m painting, doing mosaics, making fish tank backgrounds (view blog above), or building computers… I really enjoy working with my beautiful hands. I’ve been told that you don’t meet many people who are as creatively skilled if they are mechanically, and visa versa, but I am an exuberantly gifted person. I have been blessed with a boundless amount of SKILL… you know, like nunchuck skills, bowhunting skills, computer hacking skills... :o) I had to, only cuz it’s the best freakin comedy ever. Yessssssss.
So anyways, as the creative director for 24/7 Magazine my time is spent mostly behind a desk and computer, but when I'm not at work... I love to play, and as you may or may not have noticed, I don’t always take things so seriously. I am however in a constant search for whatever fills me with passion, and exploring those things is what makes me happy… pretty much all that stuff listed over there in the General part of my profile. My life is definitely a work in progress and I welcome, invite and look forward to meeting anyone interested in being a part of it. *Bow* thank you for your undivided attention… you can get back to selling that shit on ebay now or whatever it was you were doing…
