Priest Da Beast (Beast Boyz Muzic)

About Me

To understand who Priest da Beast is, you must first get to know who D. Jones was. D. Jones was born and raised in one of New York City's roughest sections -- the Patterson Projects in the South Boogie Down Bronx. A true life playground basketball legend, by the time high school was over, he had a city scoring title under his belt, amassing a 57-point game along the way. In 2002, D. Jones then transferred his skills to the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, where he led his team to two straight NCAA Division II bids, only to be stopped short in the Elite 8 both instances. He even grabbed a tournament MVP along the way. D. Jones was great in his own right. However, all great stories must come to an end.
In the Bronx where his story begins, and seemingly ends, D. Jones' life would change forever. On a mild summer evening, (September 18, 2004 to be exact) upon exiting a club, D. Jones encountered a beef which further escalated into an all-out brawl. The result-- D. Jones was stabbed 11 times sustaining life-threatening injuries. Admitted into a nearby hospital with no pulse a short time later, figuratively, one can say D. Jones died that day. However, the great ones don't die forever. Their legacy continues to live on. That same day, Priest da Beast emerged.
Soon after his discharge from the hospital, Priest hit the studio and began recording his first tracks. Much soon after this, with his brother and producer, Wali World, Priest combined the likes of Frank Vocals and Euro Ty to form what is now known as Beast Boyz Muzic .
Priest da Beast a.k.a. "P da B" a.k.a "Swaggaman" has an uncanny flow that makes for easy listening. He combines verses and hooks like a professional that has been making music for decades. If you took the heart of Tupac, the intelligence of Jay-Z, and Nas' lyrical content, and combined their likes, you would get Priest da Beast--REALLY!!! His natural versatility lends him the ability to rarely ever sound the same on any track. You can hear the truth in every line and word he spits as his confident swagger breathes easy through every song.
The "Baller turned Rapper" has yet found another niche in life in which to portray his great stature. One can be rest assured that you are going to love the music and style Priest da Beast has to offer for many years to come.
