Las Vegas Rock & Roll, what happens here I can tell everyone !

About Me

I have played in Las Vegas all my life with exception of a 2 year road gig in 1980 where I traveled all over the U.S. and into Canada with the Leeway Band. I just left the Red Rock Band and Red Rock played the Fremont Street Experience in 2006, which if you don't know about the Las Vegas music scene, every band drools at the thought of playing this gig.Right now I am still working on getting my jazz project off the ground so keep watching for the best jazz band in Las Vegas, Smooth Ride.. Carvin is my music company of choice, and if you are watching Carvin, I would love an endorsement from you. I did a long while playing country and western music back in the 80's and 90's with the Justice Band when it was very popular, rock is great but my heart is in Jazz..

My Interests

Music, of course, traveling, bonsai trees, women, not neccessarily in that order, old cars and 4 seasons instead of this hot desert weather.

I'd like to meet:

The Eagles, I bow to you all, oh music Gods. Steeley Dan who got me loving jazz with their unique jazzy rock style, Jeff Golub, who used to play with Rod Stewart and now plays phenomenal jazz guitar. I have met Jeff twice but he probably doesn't remember. I met him after one of his concerts, he was signing autographs and then again the next year. I would like to have a drink with him and talk about music.I would love to meet Gary Moore who I consider one of the all time greatest guitar players of all time. I would like to meet a record producer (hint hint) and lastly, the woman of my dreams...

Music:

Classic rock, Jazz, most alternative rock.

Movies:

Saving private Ryan, which every time I watch it at the end I always get eyes full of tears when he is standing in front of the tombstone saying "I hope I have led a good life..", the Harry Potter series is great as well as the Lord Of The Rings trilogy. Yes, there are a few girly films that I like such as The American President with Michael Douglas, You've got Mail and Sabrina with Harrison Ford.

Television:

Everybody Loves Raymond, we will miss you Mr. Boyle, Law and Order, Discovery Channel, History Channel. My all time favorite was Married with children. I recently got hooked on the HBO series "Rome" .. I love Roman history and the show is extremely well done and mostly historicly accurate and visually accurate. It has a well done knack to hook you into wanting to see what happens next... Can't wait until next week...Oh ya, forgot to mention UFC, UFC, UFC, my favorite..The Iceman, Watching Tito Ortiz get whooped, Diego Sanchez, Matt Hughs.. I wanna see a live show..

Books:

I don't read much, no time really...Maybe Studio and Recording Technics or The Platinum Rainbow
