Through my writing I have been able to meet fighters and establish friendships and connections that truly mean a great deal to me as a boxing fan first and foremost, and an attempted writer second. "The Sweet Science" is my passion and I write about the discipline in hopes to shed a more positive light on a sport that has become a target in recent years by not only a highly biased and unjust media, but also a cynical and unforgiving public.It has been said that the only way to understand a fighter is to become one. So as I still aspire to also take the first steps down that path one day and experience the trials and tribulations that being a fighter would afford me the opportunity to experience, I know that if I never realize my dreams at least I might be able to say that I tried. Only time will tell.In the meantime I can strive to write articles that are honest, heartfelt and honorable in their portrayals and depictions of the noble athletes that participate in boxing. Through our combined efforts I hope that we can one day unite and change society's viewpoint of boxing and return it to the top where it rightfully belongs.
