Biofunk

Biofunk is a state of being

About Me

Biofunk was formed in 1996 working with several Sanfrancisco djs and producers like Lucas Rodenbush (Solid Trax), M3 (Green Gourilla Lounge), Jhon Williams, Taj and Graeme working along side with Oboro records and ETI and Tripn Spin recordings. Since that time work has found its way onto several vinyl remixes, cd's, and commercial television on Fox and HBO. Some work even graced the big screen in the movie 'Groove'. The concept of Biofunk took root with other people as well check out this link on Wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:BiofunkIn late 1998 Biofunk relocated from Berkeley to Washington state and branched out away from the house music to incorporate a more grass roots underground break and experimental feeling. In 1999 the track 'North Summit' hit the number 1 listened to song for a time in the Drum'n Bass Future Funk category on MP3.com before all the scandals (A bunch of us never got paid Lol). After a brief studio design project with one of the old Doobie Brothers, Nick was playing livePA as Biofunk doing breaks and djing outdoor events in association with the SMT (Smoke More Tuff) crew out in the Port Orchard area of Washington. Several late night underground parties went on well into the weekend evenings of 2000 through 2003. In 2003 the Biofunk vibe was taken to new levels by Dustin The Mind Bender and Buzzy as they began thier journey through DnB and Nu Skool experimental computer music. In 2007 and 2008 be watching for new projects to show up from time to time, please let us know what you think about them. The goal for Biofunk here on myspace is to network with friends, producers, djs and develope a new level of production and experience that will take us all to a new place. Right now would be a great time to setup future colab projects. Send me a note if you are down to send sounds back and forth to work on something new or a remix :) take care and thanks for your time and energy.
