Basado en la historia de la experiencia musical de cada uno, fuimos motivados a continuar con algo que hoy es mas que un proyecto. "MARIA DE NEGRO" Inicia en verano del 2006. Empezamos con unos acordes de guitarra, seguido del bajo y la melodÃa, dando como resultado la primera canción a la cual titulamos: "Junto a tÃ". A raÃz de esto decidimos formar la banda aunque sin nombre aún en ese entonces y sin una bateria, por lo que invitamos a un cuarto integrante a ser parte de la banda. Posteriormente, con la interacción de cada uno, surgieron nuevos temas e ideas los cuales fueron motivo y necesidad de escoger un nombre para el grupo. No fué sino hasta diciembre del mismo año y después de estudiar varias posibilidades cuando finalmente en una noche de ensayo surgió "MARIA DE NEGRO" como nombre de la banda.

Based on our history together and our musical experience, we were motivated to continue working on something which became more than just a project. "Maria De Negro" came to be in the summer of 2006. We started with a few guitar strokes, followed by the bass, then the rhythm; the result became our first song, we entitled it "Junto a Ti." Based on this, we decided to form a new band. Although we had no drummer and no name, yet, we invited a fourth member to join the band. Everyone of us had something to give, we came up with more songs and ideas. This gave us a reason to pick a name. It wasn't until December of that same year, after a countless number of possible names, that we finally agreed on "Maria De Negro."
