The DropVeil Recipe:
One part is Chris James; lead vox/ lead & rhythm guitar and perfect insanity, coming from New York back to his hometown of Scranton, PA. Growing up with a vast range of musical styles, from psychedelic rock to hard rock to flat out metal and being a guitarist in a band called HereAfter in high school, soon after leaving music all behind for over 10 years. Now has returned, not only as a guitarist but honing in his pipes in as a front man. Chris is the hard, abrasive, edgy writer, yet still with a soft mysterious side. He likes to force people to reach down in their souls to find a deeper understanding about what he's saying.
Second part is Scott Welch; lead & rhythm guitarist from Columbus, OH, now in the Harrisburg, PA area. Scott balances the yin yang of the guitar duo. He is a melodic with a touch of blues song writer, growing up on much of the 80s & 90s styles of hard rock/metal bands. Scott played in several bands around the Columbus area.
Third part is Bassist Scott Gunther, born in New York, growing up on a variety of genres of music, but when it comes to playing its all about the show. Scott moved to central PA to join Messiah Prophet, then on to Minnesota to form Reign of Kings, avoiding the drama he is back in upstate NY. He has recently played for Soul Foundry, Third Floor and collaborating on a few projects with Chris James ....... Huh! back together at last.
And the final part, the icing on the cake, is Drummer Chad Gossard, originally from the nation's capital, now dwelling in Lancaster, PA. Chad has a solid rock foundation, hitting hard, quick fills, and bursts of double-bass. His motto is "Play what the song calls for, no less, no more." Chad is formally from Burning Blue, Drenched, Just Like David, and After the Fall. Chad & Scott W. put an add out after a year of the basement blues, Chris James had answered their prayers along with recruiting his old friend Scott G. to finish the recipe, we now call DropVeil.
