It's time for the Polar Plunge in Virginia Beach Saturday, February 2, 2008! Once again, Ethan joins Pam in the Atlantic Ocean at Virginia Beach; jumpin' into the FREEZIN' BRINE as "Team Good Marten" to raise money for Special Olympics Virginia. In addition to laughing at us hysterically from the beach, Daughter Hannah will coach and document the event.
In fact, you may recognize her photography in the gallery on the Official Polar Plunge Website! Go Hannah!
Last year, thanks to you, $1,050 was raised for this worthy cause. Team Good Marten is aiming for $2,500+!! We thank you in advance for any amount you can donate to Special Olympics Virginia.

Hello Everybody! We have less than three months to reach goal, and deliver a cool $2,500.00 cash to the Special Olympics. At the risk of sounding all Public Radio -- now is the time to click on one of these first giving badges and go to our Team Good Marten Polar Plunge Page. If you're mailing a check to the home address -- please send us an e-mail so we know what's coming in. Pam, Hannah and I have really appreciated the warmth, love and support that has come from old friends and new ones Since 2006. You have all come together for a very good reason. If you're in Virginia Beach February 2 -- come on down to the Ocean Front. Spending a little time getting to know the Special Olympians can keep anyone warm on even the chilliest day. They really are special people. There's gonna be a lot of love on that beach! See you there. Now do what you can to raise the mercury. Even Al Gore would agree, this would be some positive climate change!
