I create music. music gives me inspiration and vise versa. So i'm setting out to live my life the only way i know how, through music. Tough life, tough shit, whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I'm lead singer in Earth Stood Still, and the 4 of us are getting ready to rock this new year in NYC. I graduated from LaGuardia HS for drama, and chose the independent life for the past two years, hence, no college YET. In that time i've been writing alone and with my guitarist, and for the past year recording a 9 song album with the band, with a cd release coming up in February. I've also been performing with a few groups with genres ranging from interctive tribal drumming (Body temple) to blues/classic rock (The Classix) to Hungarian folk music (The Continental Orchestra) and performing independently since i was 8 years old. When i was 5, my parents bought me a casset of sing along disney and childrens folk songs, and it is because of that wonderfully cheezy cassett and their supportive encouragment that i ever got inspired to open my mouth and sing. I certainly attribute my addiction of music to my juvenile and innnocent discovery of it. It built up such a strong foundation for my thoughts and expressions, that i always had an outlet for everything that was going on in my life. So music has been my therapy! (but has probably been equally as expensive!) I love connecting with people, and there is no experience like the connection between a performer and an audience. Its like making friends with multipule people at the same time on an intensly insirational level! alright i'm getting deep, but pure and simple, music brings people together, ignites compassion and changes people lives. And it's everywhere for us to listen to and expand our capacities. Still going, still learning, still writing, and i cant wait to play again for everyone.
