About Me

Benjamin M. Smith is a singer-songwriter who writes pop music above. It sounds country sometimes, but for the most part it's kind of mopey pop music. He and his backing band, the Bright Young Things, play around Chicago now and then and want you to come drink a beer or three with us at a show. One of us will hug you if you talk to us. Which one of us? Do you want us to reveal the surprise? After much saving, procrastination, and other things, Benjamin's pretty stoked to tell you that the debut EP, IF YOU WILL, is now available for purchase. Use your favorite service: iTunes, Amazon or eMusic. If one of those is not your favorite, then choose one of these. If you like what's going on, then you'll love it more on your portable music device.Send an email to [email protected] to join the "Benjamin M. List" and get informed about news, concert info, chorus lines, barbecues and barn dances! We'll play anywhere; just let us know.
