About Me

I've been playing the guitar and piano since I was 12 years old and started composing when I was 16. I am now in my thirties and have only recently been recording some songs that have been in my head for years. Apart from the ballads I have posted here, I also compose instrumentals which can be heard here. The songs I present on this myspace page are an exploration of human relationships and all the emotions they involve. Through inventive lyrics, strong melodies and interesting chord progressions I have tried to convey many aspects of love, with all its heartache and irrationality. Issues I touch on in my music include jealousy, infidelity, self-pity, depression, adoration. loss and repentence. Relationships are complex yet are an essential part of the human experience, so I hope to reach out to a wide audience who can relate to the feelings and emotions I express in my songs. As such, my music can be quite painful at times. These tracks have been recorded at home and are presented as ideas, or 'work in progress', and may not appeal to those with a bias towards polished production values. There is an imperfection to my music which I think reflects the issues that I am trying to explore.

I found this layout design on PureLayouts.com - check out their MySpace Layouts .
