the not so normal songwriter Justin Steere is from the small town of cape may new jersey not that thats not normal being from a small town but his songwriting changes style for all his songs unlike every song sounding the same he adds different styles in every song he writes and even goes so far to change his vocal style to match it as you might hear him singing in different ranges making him a not so normal songwriter (but in a good way) he started getting envolved in music at the age of 12 by watching his friends band in a coffee shop and then decided to take up guitar lessons and from then on it grew into interest in all kinds of instruments gaining a bit of knowledge for each one. The first time he sang infront of anybody was his highschool talent show performing John Mayer's hit single "no such thing". Then later on his vocal tone changed as he started singing more he found his natural voice at a higher range. He started performing in clubs right out of highschool getting told by many locals and most people he met that he sounded like the song writer Jason Mraz since most of the songs he performed in clubs were up beat jazz numbers with a hip hop vocal influence. He attended Berklee College Of Music the number one rated music school in the united states as a vocalist and majored in songwriting, Berklee aslo schooled musicians such as John Mayer, Maroon 5, and many more. He went on to place second in the New jersey Icon contest held in cape may county and still plays shows localy today. He bases all his lyrics on things that anybody can relate to in one way or another, he knows how to use his words to strike emotion out of any situation, all of his songs have a story to it. His music is new and refreshing and something to keep an eye out for in the future.
