Maestro was born Cyrus James in Monier , St Luica on August 19th 1982. Music has always been a part of the young artist's life. He began writing dancehall music at the age of 11 years. Growing up in a country where dancehall music was the main genre of music played, promoted and listened to, maestro soon became hooked to the vibes that dancehall music brings.In 2003 he got his first song aired on local radio stations but did not get much publicity as he wanted. Maestro then moved to Barbados and did a few singles on Producer/Artist Junior killa's Da Humm and Titanium riddims. With not enough skill and versitilty maestro still didnt get what he wanted out of it all, which is getting known by the public.Recently the young artist has done a massive hit called "Wild Wild West" which is now being promoted in Italy by the Pinniataro Massive along with Pmk Youth Promotion. Pinnataro is one of the biggest sound systems along with artists from Italy which is due to be in colaboration with maestro soon. The song will be amongst few on the Sa Gana Riddim produced by Train To Roots. ®
