African Channel

About Me

Health promoter. Facilitating the empowerment of individuals and community using the visual arts media in placing development on the agenda.

The Vision

The vision of a hunger free continent, the conquering of HIV and other communicable diseases and the eviction of poverty from African homes.

The Campaign

Using the visual arts media to effect development in Africa. We have seen the pictures, we have heard the stories.. Groups have risen up to the challenge, people across the world have teamed up, dedicating their lives, their time and energy to the cause of painting a new picture of Africa. If we celebrate our little victories, if we display our small triumphs, there will be a greater drive to continue the work.By capturing these stories of survival on tape, immortalizing the African story in poetry, paintings and sculptures and portraying victory over poverty in film, we begin to realize that indeed our commitment has not been in vain.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Creative and positive minded people. Individuals and organizations who believe in changing the world for the better. People who feel fulfilled by placing smiles on the lips of others. Souls that are excited to be advocates for the underprivileged. People who are not willing to give up in the face of adversity.

Projects

Relics of an ancient kingdomSynopsis The Emperor of China built the Great wall of China. Similar fortresses were built in other lands. But in Africa, a king had other plans. Rather than build, why not dig. So, they dug around the city known as the ancient kingdom of Benin. Watch as we step into the massive moat which some claim to be the 8th wonder of the world.
