Madreblu was formed in 1995 and consisted of Raffaella Destefano (vocals), Gino Marcelli (piano and keyboards), and Valerio Artusi (keyboards). Their debut album, "Prima dell’ Alba", was released in 1997. Artusi left Madreblu in 1998, leaving only Destefano and Marcelli. They released Necessità in 1999; the first song from the album, "Certamente" was featured on "The Sopranos: Peppers & Eggs" soundtrack. The song was played during the episode, "Commendatori". This is the only time where Madreblu has achieved publicity in the United States. The band is most well-known in their hometown of Lodi, Italy. Madreblu's latest album, "L'Equilibrio", was released in 2004. It is currently the only Madreblu album available for online purchase.
