Born on Cleveland's southside July 13,1989... Y.O. (pronounced Why-Oh) first started rapping at age 13 over industry instrumentals and battling against other teenage m.c.'s in his area. "I love rap it was one of those things I was just really good at right from the start,I've always felt like the best"..says Y.O..Although Y.O. listened to many artist growing up he says there was no one artist he feels influenced his sound. He later started performing at local shows and gaining a following, but things were still not where he wanted them to be. While working with other upcoming rappers in Cleveland Y.O. grew tired of the "same old" routine and realized it was time to find his "swag" and some much needed direction in his music. Which eventually led to working with Truth who was also looking for someone new to work with. Truth started working with Y.O. and in the process Truth incorporated the expertise of Atlanta based producer & artist developer Cyber Sapp who was well known for many reasons but especially for his production of Gucci Mane's hit single "Freaky Gurl". Sapp eventually invited Y.O. to come down to the "A" and jump in the booth."Y.O. definitly sounds industry ready, he could definitly make alot of money just writing songs if he wanted to"..says Cyber Sapp. Currently Y.O. is still working with Truth and has recently signed to Playground Bully Muzik.
