About Me

Myspace LayoutsIn 2006 I graduated the University of Washington majoring in Earth and Space Sciences (basically geology but they changed the name of the major to encorporate people who like plasmas). I currently work at the Burke Museum and Office Depot...the people I work with are mostly cool ;) My husband Reid and I live together in a 3 bedroom house in Lake Forest Park (just outside Seattle) and we don't have to share with roommates...yay!

My Interests

Geology! *nerd alert* more specifically paleontology. I also like atmospheric science/severe weather when there are no math problems involved. When I have a lot of spare time I like to read, paint and watch movies.

Music:

Fiona Apple is my favorite, I also enjoy Jann Arden, Brandi Carlile, Regina Spektor, No Doubt, Evanescence, Matchbox Twenty, 80's music, and more that I can't think of right now because I'm too lazy. The video below is Brandi Carlile here in Seattle 11-2-07. You should really mute whatever stupid profile song I have playing and watch the video...she's fantastic! ..
Video: Brandi Carlile - Seattle - 20071102 - 21 - Hallelujah

Movies:

Twister, Jurassic Park, the Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Tommy Boy, Office Space, Drop Dead Gorgeous, a Christmas Story, Stardust, Happy Gilmore, the Emperor's New Groove, a League of their Own, Gone in 60 Seconds, Ocean's 11, Lilo and Stitch, My Girl

Television:

Arrested Development, Friends, Family Guy!, Scrubs, CSI (the original one), Stargate SG-1, Roseanne, Reno 911, Mythbusters, Grey's Anatomy, Deadliest Catch, and Food Network stuff even though I can't cook.

Books:

I do enjoy Chic-Lit including a lot of Jennifer Weiner's books and also Cathy Kelly (if you haven't read her stuff it's great!). I do enjoy other novels as well. I just finished "Snowflower and the Secret Fan" by Lisa See and it was fantastic! So was The Thirteenth Tale and Time Traveler's Wife. Jane Eyre is one of the classics I actually enjoyed. Oh and Wuthering Heights is one of the worst novels I've ever attempted to read.

My Blog

New Blog!

Well it will be new as of May 3rd, 2008.  But I know that this post will forever remain on my myspace so new is definitely a relative term here.  Anywho, I have a blog here http://www.paleom...
