How I got to LOVE the Backstreet Boys?!?!?! It's very simple!! My son, Nicholas, started to like the Backstreet Boys (which is weird for
someone like that!! He DON'T like them any more, the DUMMY!!!!!!!!!!) One day when he came home from school, he had a small milk carton with him that had a pitcure of the Backstreet Boys on the side. I didn't like them at 1st. I really would call them the Backstreet Fag-its!!!!!!!!!! (I'm so sorry that I did that now!!!!!!!!!!! Can you ever forgive me?!?!) I wouldn't listen to them at all!! But then one day, Nicholas was watching MTV and the video of "Everybody- Backstreet's Back" came on and I didn't think nothing of it. But later that song and video kept in my head and I couldn't get it out!! I saw the video again on MTV and VH1 and started to like it a lot!! Then I thought that I had to have that video, because I liked it!! (I record different music videos of people and songs that I LOVE!!) The next day I watched the show "TRL" on MTV and I was ready just incase that video came on and it did!!!!!!!!!! I got it and then I played the video over and over and over and over again and that lead me to my own start of LOVING the Backstreet Boys!!!!!!!!!! I kept on looking and starring at Nick Carter in the mummy outfit and so that's who I started to LOVE 1!!!!!!!!! Plus in my opinion he's he's the best looking of the group!!!!!!!!!! (Why they didn't use a Frankenstein in the video, I don't know, that's my favorite monster!!!!!!!!) I then got one of their CD's and also got a few more of their videos off of VHI and MTV. As the time went on, I started really LOVING the Backstreet Boys, as much as any of you!! Even though I was in my late 30's at the time!! I was starting to collect anyting and everything that I could on them magnets (which are still on the fridge today!!), books, pictures, buttons, stickes, t-shirts, 2 of the dolls, ornaments for the Christmas tree, a wall clock.... My husband, Tim, started to like them as well and I LOVED that a lot!! That year on Halloween, the Backstreet Boys were coming to Denver, Colorado to the Pepsi Center for a concert, but I couldn't afford it, stupid bills to pay and that was when Tim had a crappy job!! I was BOILING MAD, but what can you do?!?!?!?! I wanted to see them so darn badly I could have died!!!!!!!!!! The next year they were still on tour and that Christmas time, I heard that they Backstreet Boys were coming to Denver, Colorado again to the Pepsi Center in January for a concert and I just had to go anyway that I could go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After missing them before, I wasn't going to miss them again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought that it would be a wonderful Christmas present for Tim and Nicholas, so I thought of doing that for all of us!! But I had to wait a few days for me to get the money. When I went to get the tickets, they were all SOLD OUT and I was so darn upset, that I started to cry about it!! The Backstreet Boys in Denver, Colorado and I COULDN'T go, again?!?!?! Made me so darn BOILING MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still wanted to go and wanted to try anyway that I could to get to go to the concert. One day in the newspaper, I saw an ad that said Big Ralph's Tickets and that they had some Backstreet Boys concert tickets for sell. I called them to make sure and sure enough they did!! Since the place wasn't too far from our house, I went over there and got the tickets, even though it was nose bleed seats only and $10.00 each more than the regular price was, which I didn't care, I wanted to go so darn badly!!!!!!!!! Christmas Day, Tim and Nicholas opened the tickets and they were also glad that I did that for one of their presents!! The day of the concert came and it was horrible out- windy, foggy and light snow. I was so worried that they'd cancel the concert or move it to another time, but they didn't and it was on as it was supposed to go on. We got there and bought some stuff- me-t-shirt, buttons, and pictures (Which we didn't get one of Brian, they had only some of them and they were out and to this day makes me MAD about that one!!), Tim- t-shirt, buttons, hat and pictures and Nicholas- t-shirt and pictures (later gave to me!!). We sat down and the concert started, but someone came on the stage and said that Nick, Howie, Brian and AJ were all there, they had beat the weather, but Kevin didn't make it, because of the DUMB Colorado weather and that he wouldn't be there!! Made all of us BOILING MAD, but what could you do?! But it would be a lot better for Kevin to stay in California and be safe, then try to be there for the concert and have something happen to him!!!!!!!! The guy said that we could have our money back, because Kevin wasn't there, but NO ONE got their money back and on went the show. Even the other Boys were sad that Kevin wasn't there, along with me, but what can you do?!?! Everytime they'd sing a song and it came to Kevin's part, Howie or Nick would sing the part. It was OK to me, but also I missed sweet Kevin!!!!!!!!! The concert was still GREAT!!!!!!! As time went on, I started to get everything that I could on them and that Christmas I bought 5 Backstreet Boys Christmas Tree ornements (which I still put on the tree today!!!!!!!!!!) Nicholas knew how much I LOVED them that when it came time for his class as school to do the Christmas presents selection in his school (It was where you have money and some people are selling a lot of different things and you can buy them, just like if you were at the store.) He saw a picture in a frame of the Backstreet Boys and he knew that I'd want it and so he got it for me. On Christmas Day I got it, I was so darn HAPPY about that and to this day I still keep it on the entertainment center!!!!!!!!! I LOVED IT AND STILL DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The next year the boys were promoting Burger King and Burger King was promoting The Backstreet Boys. They were selling Cds and small dolls in the kids meals and I just had to have them so darn badly!!!!!!!!! Now, Burger King isn't one of my favorite places to eat, but I can eat there!! We only had so much money and luckly I got to get all 3 CDs, but missed 3 of the dolls. I only got Brian and Howie and that made me MAD that I didn't get Kevin, Nick and AJ's dolls, but what can you do when you don't have the money?!?! But I'm glad that I got to get the 2 I do have!!!!!!!! (Which they're also put on the entertament center as well!!) That summer in August, they were going to be at the Pepsi Center again and it was only a few days after my birthday. (MY birthday's August 13th.) I wanted to go so darn badly again and so Tim and Nicholas got that for my birthday present and I was so darn happy about that, it was a wonderful birthday present!!!!!!!! The concert was for some reason, postponed to October 3rd and that made me BOILING MAD!!!!!!!! I wanted to see them again so darn badly, but if you look at it, at least they didn't cancel the whole cocnert, they just moved it!! When the concert came, I could have died!! Bought more pictures and another t-shirt. We got our seats and was wondering if Kevin was going to be there this time. When they came out on the stage, I was so happy to see Kevin there this time and the concert was wonderful!! About this time, I heard of Aaron Carter and I wondered if he was any kin to Nick Carter. I found out that he was Nick's younger brother and so I desided to start liking him!! At 1st only because he was Nick's brother, but as he started singing more and more, and the song "Bounce" came out, then I started to like him for himself, not for the fact that he was Nick's brother. I started to really LOVE the song "Bounce", because to me it sounded like disco music and I LOVE disco music 1!!!!!!!!!! I know if that song would have been in the '70's, they would have made it a disco song!! That summer, Aaron was on tour and he came here to Denver, Colorado to the Magness Arena. Didn't know where that was, but I got the tickets for Tim, Nicholas and I and then found out that the Magness arena was only over at DU (Denver University) and that was only about 7 blocks from our house and that we could save the parking money and walk there and home!! That I LOVED!! Aaron came with several acts and one of them the A-Teens and that made me mad, because I didn't like them and still don't, although Tim and Nicholas did. (Tim still does, but Nicholas don't!!) But to see Aaron, was worth the wait through A-Teens!!!!!!!!! When we got there, we got stuff- me, t-shirt, button and picture. Tim- hat, t-shirt, button and picture and Nicholas t-shirt and picture. (He gave to me later!!) It was sold out and we had so-so seats, since we had never been there, but they were in the middle on the isle, so I guess that's OK. Aaron came on and he was just wonderful, even did the song "Bounce" and I loved that a lot!! The concert was GREAT!!!!!!!!! That made me LOVE him even more!! Last year, 2006, the Backstreet Boys came to Longmont, Colorado for a concert and we weren't able to go, because we had no money and had to pay bills and that made so BOILING MAD, because that was the last time that most fans would get to see Kevin with the group, because he was bowing out of the group, I guess, because he was tired of it all!! I still wish that I could have went to that concert so darn badly!!!!!!!!! To this day I still LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Backstreet Boys and collect all that I can on them, wear their t-shirts and listen to their music, which I have all of their CDs!! My husband still loves them and my son can't stand them any more, he's so VERY DUMB for that one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What do you think about that one?!?!?! I've been on My Space since September 2006 and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! I have Nick Carter, Aaron Carter, BJ Carter, Angel Carter, Leslie Carter, The Other Half (Leslie's Band), Howie Dorough, Pollyanna Dorough, Kevin Richardson, Brian Littrell and I did have AJ McLean on as well, but he went off for some reason, which made me mad, but what can you do?!?! It's up to him to take it off!! Also I had another Nick Carter on there and it was his privite one and some how I stumbled on to that one by mistake, but he excepted me and then the next day, Nick, himself asked Tim to come on there and be his friend and so Tim did!! But a few days after that the site got hacked into and so Nick took it off!! But for some reason, Nick made another one and Tim and I were both excepted again, but for some reason, he took that one off without warning!! I was mad, but what can you do!! Someday I'd really LOVE to meet any of the Backstreet Boys and all of the others!!
