About Me

Jules grew up with the love of music and a dream. After being asked by a local band, at the age of 11 to sing "Let It Be" by the Beatles, Jules was taken in by the response of his audience. At the age of 13, Jules entered a talent show with his brother Luc and a couple of friends. Performing as "Kiss" with home made outfits, lights and even breathing fire that awed the crowd into a frenzy that would not stop until Jules and friends came back for an encore. It was plain to all, that they were witnessing the start of a great music career for this small town boy. At the age of 14 Jules started a band and by 16 was playing the club circuit, a couple years later found himself writing his own songs. He made his first trip to Nashville in 1990 to perform on Nashville's "Be A Star" in front of millions of viewers on national television. Upon returning home he was invited to perform at the "Boston Performing Acts Concert Series" which was broadcasted live in front of thousands on local television and radio. He then headed to a Boston studio and recorded his first CD project, "Lets Take A Walk" compiled of ten original compositions. Shortly after, Jules hooked up with "Auler Productions" and through the '90's opened up for major country acts such as Billy Ray Cyrus, Tammy Wynette, Ricky Skaggs, Waylon Jennings, Ricky Van Shelton, the Bellamy Brothers and many, many more. In the mid 90,s Jules recorded his second CD project "Love At Hand" in Nashville with ten more original compositions. Jules sold thousands of copies of his two CD's at his shows all across New England and started thinking seriously about landing a record deal. Starting in '99 Jules made dozens of trips to Nashville and in the fall of '02 signed with a Nashville based indie label. In the following year and a half they released three singles to national radio. "That's What You're All About" charted at 62 on Music Row, shortly after "Let's Take A Walk" hit 41 on the same charts. His third song "Conservative State Of Mind" turned heads coming out of the gate but stalled at 69 for lack of promotional funding. In weeks to follow Jules and label parted ways in good favor and he is forever grateful for the opportunity, the experience and the doors that true friends at the label have opened for him.. Jules is currently in the studio working on his new album project, " Only Love". Tracking was done at the Quad in Nashville and at the Qounty Q also in Nashville. Mixing is taking place at Mixedemotions studio in Boston. All songs written, recorded and produced by Jules, co-produced by Troy Lancaster of Nashville. All songs published by Jules Rancourt Music BMI .....Check out WWW.julesrancourt.com for personal bio, more music, pics & contact info....
