First, A Gracious Hello To All Viewers.
PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW, AND THEN CLICK THE LINK PROVIDED TO KNOW MORE ABOUT AN IMPORTANT ISSUE.

BREAST CANCER LEGISLATION AFFECTING WOMEN'S HEALTH
A friend of my husband passed this important information along and I feel compelled to share it with you. Please, go to this link, and then pass it along to everyone in your address book. My husband's mother battled this disease for 17 years before losing her fight. My own mother is a big time fighter too and is doing very well. It is important.

Hello! My name is Simone and I was born in south Brazil, in a town called Blumenau. I lived there for 26 years and then moved to the capital Florianopolis to pursue my degree in Economics from the Federal University in State of Santa Catarina.
My dream was to learn the English language, so I came to the US and took some classes at UT and ACC. With time, I became more acquainted with the local Brazilian community and several local artists and musicians. I eventually met my husband (a Texan and musician) as well.
In December 2005 my oldest sister moved to Acre, a state in a remote western region of Brazil bordering Peru and Bolivia. It is situated in the Amazon region and as you would imagine, is very difficult to travel to. While teaching there, she got to know some of the local people and their crafts. She decided to send me some wonderful organic soaps and jewelry made by the locals. I fell in love with the products, and wanted to create a means to bring these high quality eco-friendly and renewable products to Austin and Texas (and tomorrow the world!)
So I started Aruak Imports, my importing business based on my vision to help the locals of this region secure meaningful jobs through the sales of these products. This will help to preserve the Amazonian Rain Forest by effectively utilizing it's renewable eco-friendly resources. Greater economic opportunity ultimately reduces the need to use the Amazon's resources in a non-sustainable way (such as the harvesting of hardwood trees and the trapping and exporting of local animals, etc.)
I love my home country and want to do something to help them. Enjoy the pictures and information.
I will be updating my site here at MySpace with more information in a short while. In the meantime, if you are interested in seeing these products, they are available now at this Austin business listed below (with more to come very shortly).
AUSTIN KULA YOGA
2415 Exposition Blvd., STE A & B
Austin, TX 78703

If you would like to read more about these products, please feel free to email me at: [email protected]. I will be happy to send you more information.

Tenha um Bom Dia!
An issue I feel very strongly about is the state of our planet. Please, if you have not seen the movie "An Inconvenient Truth", please do so. I've included a clip of the trailer for you to watch. Thanks so much.
