Welcome to the fun and fast-paced world of speed filmmaking!! Detailed information on The 48 Hour Film Project can be found on the official website: www.48hourfilm.com .
Basically teams of filmmakers compete against each other and the clock as they race to create a film in a single weekend. The competition begins Friday evening and wraps up Sunday evening. All aspects of production must be done in this time period - that includes writing, filming and editing. At the start of the competition, the teams are assigned a common character, prop and line of dialogue that must appear in their film. Additionally, each team draws a genre that their film must conform to.
