“Life consists not in holding good cards but in playing those you hold wellâ€.
This theory can be applied to the roots and history that is Beretta Justice. In a scene dominated by trend followers and similar sounds, Beretta Justice remains an individual. Incorporating technical drum patterns, with melodic guitars, brutal breakdowns, and intense vocals creates a sound more metal than core.
Founded in late 2005 by Terrence Crane and James Dean, the band played their debut show to a sold out crowd of over 400, receiving a positive and promising response from their first public display, showcasing the bands brutal and energetic live set, whilst being able to retain a unique sound in such a niche scene.
After almost a year of writing, and non-stop east coast touring Beretta Justice was voted to play the local stage at Taste of Chaos 2006. Not only did this see the band share the stage with great, talented bands such as Parkway Drive, Taking Back Sunday and Thursday (to name a few), it also showed the growing, loyal following the band had acquired. Taste of Chaos not only gained fans and demonstrated the skill and enthusiasm of this young, up and coming act, it signaled that this band was serious. That Beretta Justice was a force not to be reckoned with.
The year, 2006 also saw the band win HYPE Heats allowing them to play the ever popular HYPEFEST with Hardluck, Wish For Wings and As Silence breaks.
November 2006, saw the introduction of second guitarist Christopher Breedon, followed by a successful headlining tour of Western Australia in early 2007. This tour gained positive feedback and reviews such as “…an intense band, delivering a brutal live show…â€
Mid 2007 has also seen the welcoming of new drummer Chris “Trep†B, and new bassist Jimmy Muscat. These new additions to the Beretta Justice family have not only strengthened the songwriting and live performance of the band, they have also created a positive vibe among the members. This positive vibe has created the strongest, most brutal, best sounding Beretta Justice to date, on the stage or in the studio.
With an EP to be released in early 2008, and an ever-expanding fan base, with national and international acceptance, Beretta Justice is an act to look out for in the near future.
