Maldroid formed in March 2006 to combat the crap that's taken over the airwaves. Frontman Ryan Divine hand picked members from his favorite local acts to complete the band and immediately set to work on recording the bands debut EP "Malfucntion". The band recorded and produced the EP entirely on it's own under the watchful eye of guitarist/producer Johnny Genius. At the same time Ryan Divine set to work on animating and directing the video for the bands first sing "He Said, She Said."
The single started recieving radio airplay on San Francisco's LIVE 105 before the band had even played a show, and the video for the single went on to win top honors of "Best Music Video" in YouTube's first "YouTube Underground." The band was flown to NYC to appear LIVE on Good Morning America, make a flurry of press appearances and meet with various labels. All before Maldroid had ever played a show.
On December 9th, the band played it's first show to a packed house. Proving the hype was not a fluke, but a reality. The future is now. THE FUTURE IS MALDROID.
