"Alix is a bubbly, sensitive little girl. She expresses a wide range of feelings and clearly states her needs. She is strong willed and likes to be in control. A change in routine can be very upsetting to her, but she can gradually be reasoned with to move on. Alix, in general, plays cooperatively with her peers. She shows compassion with both her schoolmates and teachers and initiates conversation freely with both. She is quite verbal with an extensive vocabulary for a three year old.
"Alix's large muscle skills are age-appopriate. She can run, climb, dance, swing, even somersault with ease. Her small muscles are not as well developed. She has yet to establish a right or left dominance when using her hands and therefore has some trouble using scissors, crayons, paint brushes, etc. Yet, she is not inhibited by it and freely uses art materials, puzzles, and construction toys.
"Alix is quite smart. She recognizes and names shapes, colors, numbers, letters, and even knows many letter sounds. She has excellent memory skills and has no difficulty matching, sequencing or grouping."--preschool analysis, May 1992
