About Me

I am the City of Eau Claire, WI. I was born in 1872, 16 years after the establishment of Eau Claire County, out of the Town of Eau Claire, once a township of Chippewa County. Originally, I came from the southern portion of Chippewa, and I was chosen to anchor and host the County offices within my very own borders. I recently celebrated my Sesquicentennial birthday. It was an interesting little gala in my honor down at the enliven Phoenix Park... You might have made it down. I'm proud... Really, I'm laid back. I'm pretty easy to get along with and I have a lot of people to make the tough decisions a little easier. I have an eleven member council of elected officials that approve the actions of all the people that live here. I've got a City Manager, and a whole slew of people who everyday work harder to make me better. Police. Fire. the University. The small local businesses... the list is endless.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I am interested in meeting all the people and places that hold me together--the local color. I want to meet the people out there fighting to maintain and improve my local sustainability. The people trying to do it better because they want us to be better. I want to meet the community within the community...
