Lap Steel Guitar virtuoso HeXx Henderson takes the Lap Steel from it's roots in Hawaiian, blues, sacred steel, and country music into mainstream rock and roll with a blend of original tunes and unique covers.

HeXx Henderson has been a professional musician since the age of 14. He has played in and recorded with numerous notable bands, including David Allan Coe--The Drifters--Doug Sahm--Tommy Taylor of the Eric Johnson Band--Uncle John Turner of the Johnny Winter Band--and many others.

Influences: HeXx Henderson began his musical career on the lap steel, which he received for Christmas when he was 13. HeXx also learned the pedal steel, electric bass, and standup bass. By the age of 16 he was already playing Western Swing professionally.
Great lap steel guitar players like Leon McAuliffe, Santo and Johnny, Buddy Emmons, Alvino Ray, & Little Roy Wiggins were a big influence on HeXx. Rock Guitar Heros like Jimi Hendrix, Ritchie Blackmore, Rory Gallagher, Robin Trower, Roy Buchanan, Frank Marino, Jeff Beck, the Ventures, and Lonny Mac also made a tremendous impact.
Pioneering lap steel blues players Hop Wilson and Freddy Roulette also made a huge impression on HeXx.
HeXx Henderson is a virtuoso at blending these diverse components, taking bits and pieces from generations of talented players and decades of fantastic songs, along with his original music and distinctive style, to construct a unique sound, fully utilizing the amazing capabilities of the lap steel guitar.
