All the Islands is a Oslobased band consisting of four young, handsome hunks. Jon Berg from Bærum plays fuzzed-out bass and sings, Magnus Dahle Larssen from Trondheim plays hardcore guitar and sings, Wiggo Evensen Pedersen from Trondheim rapes his drumkit, and Lars-Ivar Hoelstad, Stanges pride plays progrock Fripplicks on the guitar and sings.
They started to play together midsummer of 2005, in a small cozy cellar on Grünerløkka in Oslo. The band never made any plans on what sort of music they were going to play. But after completing a couple of awesome tunes they all nodded and agreed this was something special. A mighty hybrid of pop, punk, progrock and hardcore ascended from the cellar on Løkka with a new genrè; Hipsterprog, oh yes indeed! According to themselves, their songs are so unique, you cannot compare them with other bands.
After completing a couple of gigs in Oslo and Notodden, the lads entered the long process of perfecting their songs on tape and recording an album in different parts of Norway. The result; "Polarise", is extremely satisfying to say the least. The band is currently recording new material, and will hopefully release a new album this spring. Stay tuned for more mighty rock!
