Hi everyone, my name is Alex aka DJ Gash, first of all I would like to thanx you for taking your time to view my profile as it is much appreciated.
I have been making music from Synthesizers/Synthersizer Software for many years now and don't see any reason why I should stop, I live for Synth!
It all started when the old Sega Megadrive and Nintendo SNES were at there peek of competition, just before CDs came into mainstream production, I would play the games on these consoles and love the music and notice how it sounded more Electronic and Digital compared to most of the Hip-Hop and RnB that was out then.
When I was about 11 years old, I found this software that my dad had free with an old computer magazine Saying (Synth-Box!) on the front cover, I had an Idea what it was so I installed it and had a look and tride it out.
At first I felt confused at all of these symbols that came up on the screen thinking I would never understand any of this but when ever I dident have anything to do, I would give it another go and see what I came out with.
After a few weeks I started to come out with 30 to 40 second melodies, one of them sounded like the terminator theme hehehe. It was then that I realized that I was getting the hang of it.
When I was about 14, my dad got a new computer that I used when ever I used MSN or the Internet for any reason and it was now that the software was alot more user friendly.
I got hold of this synthersizer software that I use now called (Blue) the Virtual Synthersizer off of my uncle, it was great, you could programme any sound out of it and it is so so easy! I would sit there for hours and hours making all of this random sound effects from it built in soundbox all the way up to full 2 to 9min tracks. So there you have it, the basic outline of how I got to where I am when it comes down to synthersizer music today, I hope you enjoy listening and leave comments and add me if you feel inclined.
