Rob Matrix trained with the IWA school class of 2000, With a hunger to learn the craft of wrestling he completed his training with former WCW Wrestler Bobby Blaze and Heartland Wrestling Association. He employs a very fast paced, strong technical style offense and has provided international and local fans with some thrilling matches for almost a decade of wrestling, Also won IWA Trans Tasman and IWA Heavyweight title in his rookie year.
He went on to become HWA Television Champion, IWA Tag Team Champion, 6 times IWA Trans Tasman and 6 times IWA Heavyweight Champion. His overwhelming power and charisma will impress the most critical fans. Appeared on most of the Australian Wrestling Supershows.
Matrix toured the USA independent circuit many times, working for several independent promotions including WWE tryouts. Matrix is considered by many as a local superstar who has tremendous ability. This year Matrix wrestled for IWA under a mask a few times billed as ‘The Candyman’. He was featured, as part of the IWA, on ABC TV’s top rating show ‘My Favorite Film’ and on the Aurora channel "IWA Wrestling" on Foxtel.
Rob has dedicated many hours training upcoming IWA wrestlers. His protégés have included Brett Brady, Tyson Gibbs, Madison and Lucky 7.
