Whitehaze is an essex born dj who has always had a keen interest in music. At about the age of 15 he had his first mix round a mates house on a pair of belt driven 50 quid decks and couldn’t get enough of it so he saved up and got a pair for himself. Since then he has been collecting vinyl and mixing as often as he can. The first break was getting a weekly set on Charge FM a local radio station in 2006, which gave him some airspace to promote his djing and also linked him up with a lot of people he is working with now. Buying all his vinyl from his local recordshop, Intense records he soon became mates with staff and landed himself a weekend job at the shop. This then led on to a few first bookings at Q ball, Chelmsford and Sun rooms, Southend. After doing sets for various other promoters in Colchester, Chelmsford and Southend he decided to link up with Sterling Beats and start there own night in Southend and so SoS was born. Using The Royal Hotel in Southend as a resident club they ran a few nights towards the end of 2008 and started to build up a reputation in the area. This was short lived as the Royals decided to close down due to management issues at the end of the year. They have carried the night on in Chelmsford and have also worked with other promoters for bigger nights in essex but are still currently on the lookout for a resident club. The S.o.S radio show will be on www.planetdnblive.co.uk every Friday from 6 til 8 and on Elite 90.8Fm every Sunday 4 til 6 and will be hosted by a whole range of different Mcs!!
