Founded by a couple of young men under the name Panzerskrekk in the summer of 2002, Panzerschreck started out playing a rather melodic form of heavy/thrash metal. At its numeral peak the band consisted of 5 members; Panzerfaust (drums), Panzerhard (lead guitar), Panzerdød (rhythm guitar), Panzerskei (bass), and Panzerfaen (vocals).
(On a side note, Panzerdød's career was almost cut short in an alcohol related falling accident, in which he slipped and fell off a roof, and landed head first on the ground below. Luckily, due to the ungodly amounts of alcohol and a thick skull, no serious damage was done. And he even got a free helicopter ride out of it).
Upon a gradual shift in the band's musical direction towards the realm of brutal death metal, Panzerfaen left the band, passing the vocal duties on to Panzerhard - whose voice appears on all of the band's recorded works. At present, however, the two remaining members Holden and Langli (artist names were dropped as the duo felt they were characteristic of the "old" Panzerskrekk) keep the music alive as a studio band, and are now firing up their engines again. The latest release, the brief and intense, "Heavy Artillery Reprisal", shows a more brutal side of the band, serving as a time killer in anticipation for the new EP, scheduled for release this decade.
