Well many of you haven't seen me since I left my high school wrestling days in San Jose and headed for the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. I completed five years at USC where I made many great friends along the way however it wasn't until after college where life really began.
I started taking salsa lessons while at USC. One day I finally worked up enough courage to audition for a world famous salsa dance company called Salsa Brava. Needless to say, I made it into the group. For the next 5 years I danced and traveled all around the world instructing and performing at numerous Barcardi Rum World Salsa Congress sponsored events. I have danced in everything from competitions to commercials to music videos to even some movies. My stint with Salsa Brava were some of the best years in my life and I am forever grateful for the individuals I was able to bond with along my many tours.
It was through Salsa Brava while teaching at a Los Angeles night club, that I met the woman of my dreams, Ms. April Mendoza. She is my everything and is a truely amazing woman. I was even lucky enough to convince her to marry me in June of 2007. Together we are starting a new chapter in our lives and I can't begin to tell you how excited I am to see what life has in store for us.
Although, I have hung up the dancing shoes to pursue a family, don't count me out just yet. If you don’t see me at any local Los Angeles hotspots, you may just end up seeing me on the next season of "So You Think You Can Dance." Check out the video below when you get a chance and hit me up anytime. Peace!
